I am announcing my candidacy for 4th District Supervisor.
Mike Newman serves on the County’s Planning Commission balancing environmental and climate concerns with issues of property rights.
Mike knows that people suffering from mental illness don’t get better in jail and he is actively working in the community to bring a new vision forward so people with mental illness can be treated with dignity and get the treatment they need.
At a time like this where the County is facing some very challenging fiscal issues, Mike Newman’s years of business experience coupled with his public service including Eureka City Council and Measure Z fiscal committee to mention a few, gives Mike the knowledge he needs to help lead our county.
Mike supports the County applying for grants for things such as expanding our trail system and increasing access for childcare resources in the community to mention just a few.
Law enforcement including Sheriff Honsal and Former Eureka Police Chief Steve Watson and others, endorse Mike Newman also!
Mike has invested in and supports our youth and has been a scout leader, a soccer and baseball coach.
Mike works hand in hand helping support our local businesses and will work to help grow our small businesses.
